Shining have just released two brand new live videos for the tracks “The One Inside” and their single “I Won’t Forget”. Filmed this summer at Norway’s biggest festival, The Øya Festival, the videos showcase the band’s unique blend of tight playing and loose and playful improvisation:

Shining’s frontman Jørgen Munkeby comments:
“After spending about a year in the studio to write, record and produce a song, where every miniscule detail is thoughtfully considered, it’s very refreshing to re-do a recording of the same song during a live show where you only have one chance to get it right. The added pressure of the live setting, not to mention days and days of practice, can often make the song come to life even more. While writing the songs for our new album “One One One”, I knew that these would be really fun to play live, and I was right!”
These completely unedited performances from their hometown Oslo, Norway, were mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Slayer) and mastered by Ted Jensen (Slipknot, Muse, Metallica). Grading was done by Haavard Albertsen.
“I Won’t Forget” and “The One Inside” were the first two songs in Shining’s hour-long set that night, August 10th 2013. The rest of the concert was recorded, but have not yet been released.
